Reliable Diagnosis with Advanced Ultrasound Technology
When performed correctly, ultrasound is not merely an imaging method — it is one of the most powerful tools for the early diagnosis of disease. The state-of-the-art ultrasound system used in our clinic, with its high-resolution imaging capacity and advanced SMI (Superb Microvascular Imaging) technology, allows a far more detailed evaluation than conventional ultrasound examinations.
Every examination is performed personally by a radiology specialist, and the images are analyzed in real time. This approach goes beyond simply producing a report; it enables a clinical evaluation tailored to each patient.
Our goal is to reduce unnecessary procedures, reach the correct diagnosis at the earliest possible stage, and provide the patient with a reliable expert opinion.
SMI Technology (Superb Microvascular Imaging)
SMI (Superb Microvascular Imaging) is one of the latest generations of ultrasound technology, enabling detailed visualization of very small vascular structures within tissues. In conventional color Doppler ultrasound examinations, low-velocity blood flow often cannot be displayed. SMI technology filters out motion artifacts and reveals true microvascularization.
This technology offers a significant advantage particularly in the following situations:
- ◆Evaluation of thyroid nodules
- ◆Lymph node analysis
- ◆Small soft-tissue lesions
- ◆Tumor characterization
- ◆Monitoring of inflammatory diseases
Thanks to SMI, unnecessary biopsies can be avoided in many cases and more reliable clinical decisions can be made.
